Spring Haikus 2021

Spring Haikus

I love writing haikus and that is what I am starting the month off with, Spring haikus. April is National Poetry month, so of course I will start off with some short poetry to get the poetry vibe going. If you are not sure what a Haiku is, a Haiku is unrhymed poetic form consisting of 17 syllables arranged in three lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables. Haikus are originally from Japan. Happy Reading, Enjoy, and take care of yourself!!

April Showers

April showers bring

May Flowers, scents of spring love

Fresh spring love, indulge!

Lilacs

Walking with Lilacs

smells amazing, light purple

a calming scent, chill.

Rain Boots

Rain boots and rain coats

Jump ropes and lollypops, fun!

Spring time is here, Go!

Clean

Clean up, Clean down, clean!

Spring cleaning, I detest but,

It's that time of year.

Planted

A kiss was planted

On Mother’s Day that grew up

And formed family.

Thunder

Miserable spring

A tiny thunder destroys

Betrayed by the sun.
