Blowing Kisses

I blew you a kiss, and you caught it midair,
tucking it gently into your heart
as if it were something precious to keep.
A warmth spread through your body,
a rush of excitement beneath your skin,
like sunshine breaking through the clouds,
like a spark catching fire within.
Funny how something so small,
something you cannot see or hold,
can make a heart feel so full
and turn an ordinary moment into gold.
A blown kiss is like a whisper of love,
a silent hug sent through the air,
a little reminder that someone is thinking of you,
a way of saying, I'm here, I care.
It’s a soft touch without the touching,
a hug without the arms,
a little flutter of butterflies,
a heart disarmed by simple charms.
It’s what we do in passing,
a gesture familiar and true,
but when the intentions are pure,
even the smallest kiss carries meaning through.
Like a note folded into a pocket,
like a wish carried on the breeze,
like a tiny light in someone’s darkness,
or a moment of unexpected peace.
Because a kiss doesn't need lips to land,
or hands to pull you near.
Sometimes love travels on nothing at all
but the hope that someone feels it when it's there.
So I blow you a kiss,
and you hold it close to your heart—
a little piece of love sent your way,
even when we're worlds apart.
